cutz is an AI video editor you use over WhatsApp. cutz is a product of HireCreatives (“HireCreatives”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use cutz, our website at cutz.si and our web app at app.cutz.si (together, the “Services”), and how we use and share it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we will tell you where reasonably possible, for example in a WhatsApp message.
Information you give us
When you use cutz, you send us content so we can edit it for you. This includes:
- Your messages: what you write to cutz, including your instructions and feedback on edits.
- Voice notes, and the text we transcribe from them.
- Files you send or upload: videos, images, audio, documents and the descriptions and transcripts we create from them.
- Links you send, such as links to social media posts or videos you want us to use or copy a style from, and the content we fetch from them.
- Preferences you tell us or that we learn from your requests, such as brand colours, caption style or language.
Information we collect when you use the Services
- WhatsApp details: your phone number and WhatsApp profile name, which WhatsApp shares with us when you message cutz.
- The edits we make: the plans, versions and finished videos we produce for you.
- Usage data: how and when you use the Services, such as the number of edits and messages.
- Device and log data: when you use app.cutz.si, your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use IP addresses to protect sign-in from abuse.
- Cookies: app.cutz.si uses a cookie to keep you signed in. Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it delivers them.
How we use your information
- To provide the Services: to understand your request, edit your videos, send them back and make the changes you ask for.
- To remember your preferences, so later edits fit your style.
- To improve and develop the Services, including the AI models and techniques we use to edit (see below).
- To communicate with you about the Services, including service messages and updates.
- To keep the Services safe and secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
AI and model training
cutz uses artificial intelligence to edit your videos. We may use your content and usage data to improve the Services, including to train or fine-tune the models and editing techniques cutz uses. Anything trained this way is for cutz's own exclusive use: we do not share it, and we do not use your content to help build anyone else's models. You can opt out of this at any time by emailing privacy@cutz.si. Opting out does not affect models trained before you opted out.
We use third-party AI model providers to run parts of cutz. They may process your data only to help us provide the Services, and we do not allow them to use your content to train or improve their own models.
Disclosure of your information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers who help us run cutz, such as messaging providers (to deliver WhatsApp messages), hosting and cloud storage providers, AI model providers, and video processing providers. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- People and services you direct us to, for example when you ask us to fetch a link.
- Legal reasons: when we believe it is required by law, or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of HireCreatives, our users or others.
- Business transfers: if HireCreatives is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of it.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
Third-party services
cutz works through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. cutz is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta. Links you send or receive may lead to other websites, which have their own policies; we are not responsible for them.
Where your information is processed
We and our service providers may store and process your information in countries other than the one you live in.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this policy, such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your choices
- Delete your data: you can ask us to delete your information. See Delete your data.
- Stop messages: reply “STOP” to cutz on WhatsApp to stop receiving messages from us.
- Training: you can opt out of model training as described above.
- Questions or corrections: email privacy@cutz.si to ask about or correct the information we hold about you.
Children
The Services are not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 16, we will delete it. If you believe a child has used cutz, please contact us at privacy@cutz.si.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
